Hi, my Acer Aspire X1800 will only turn on for a few seconds then turn off?

My Acer Aspire X1800 will only turn on for around 2 seconds and the light flashes etc but then it turns off all of a sudden. It's happened many times and i have sent it to Acer but they didn't seem toi fix it. got any ideas on how to fix it?
