How many times/often should i feed a ball python?

preowned so HE is 7 or 8 yrs old 3 feet one inch haha WILL NOT eat rats =( only mice and he is pretty stuck in his ways. but how often would you yahoo-ers say to feed him? or how many MICE, and how often????? thanks!!! ツ
