Can teachers give detentions for yawning?

Yesterday in class, I yawned. It wasn't that loud and the teacher said 'detention'. I argued with her about her, but she seems to believe that it is okay to issue detentions for yawning. Do you agree that I should of got a detention? I wasn't being rude and she wasn't even talking when I did it, we were just doing some written work.
